We have now past the halfway point of 2008 and if the first half was anything to go by, the next 6 months will be outstanding!!

For those of you affected by the windat problem from last week (which seems to be webmail and gmail users, please right click and open the attachment as a webpage and not in your email window, all reports say that it works fine that way!

PAINDIVISION - RETURN

Paindivision are announcing a full re-launch of their myspace at www.myspace.com/paindivision

Stu Marshall from the band comments,
"We wanted to relaunch after creating the new logo for the band and are offering two full songs from our most recent album for download. This week he hit the studio to record the pre-production version of our next CD with final recording of the album scheduled for early July.

So far we have written 9 songs for the album and feel really proud of the result. This time a slightly more brutal sound with our classic European influences kicking in. We are working with Film-maker "Steven Rangott" who is filming a doco on the recording of the album, I'd say it will be included within the package for the next CD titled *One Path*."

SUCCESS WILL WRITE APOCALYPSE ACROSS THE SKY would like to announce the addition of drummer Pete Lamb, bassist Matt Simpson and samplist Jen Muse to their full-time lineup. Mike Petrak and Jesse Jolly have decided to pursue their other musical endeavors full time. Guitarist Ian Sturgill comments:

"We greatly appreciate the hard work that Mike and Jesse have done for S.W.W.A.A.T.S. over the past year. S.W.W.A.A.T.S. is now at the point where we will need full time soldiers with no other commitments. Our touring schedule is going to be brutal, and we needed 100% of everyone's time. Pete, Matt and Jen have busted ass to show us that they're in this for the win, have killer chops, and we're very much looking forward to kicking your brains in through your ear holes together. Welcome to the force!"

Mike Heller (MALIGNANCY) has completed drum tracking w/producer James Murphy for the full-length debut LP, "The Grand Partition and the Abrogation of Idolatry". Guitar and Bass tracking is set to begin in the beginning of July.

EDGUY NEW ALBUM "TINNITUS SANCTUS" OUT IN NOVEMBER

As previously reported a few weeks ago EDGUY have entered the Gate Studios in Wolfsburg to record the follow-up of their chart breaker album "Rocket Ride".
The new album will be produced by Sascha Paeth and is scheduled to be released in November 2008.

The album will be entitled "Tinnitus Sanctus" and Tobias Sammet has got the following news in store: "The title just refers to the wall of sound that will bulldoze you. Let’s be modest: We have ten extraordinary songs and this new album is gonna be our ticket to the hall of fame alongside with LED ZEPPELIN, BLACK SABBATH and AC/DC. There won’t be a hit-single this time, not even a flop-single, haha; not only because most songs are too long for a single, but also because for a single we had to produce way more stuff, lose money and need a time frame to release it. The album would come later then and that would suck.

For the record: Musically, we don’t go back to the roots. It’s not the "Legacy of Mandrake part 2" and it’s not a little brother of Rocket Ride either. It’s a new album and we’ve set off to new horizons once more! The stuff sounds really broad, very anthemic, heavy and ballsy. We’ve kept our trademarks and still there are a lot of elements that are different to anything we’ve done before. I know what some fans may think, because if my favourite bands would have come up with statements like that I would have been scared to death, but in our case I am sure this could be the album we’ll be measured by in the future."

Booze, broads, and Beelzebub! The moniker of CHROME DIVISION says it all: devilishly dirty Rock`n`Roll straight out of Norway!
CHROME DIVISION boasts a line up that consists of some of Norway’s finest and well-known Metal musicians: Shagrath, usually the grim and infamous vocalist of Black Metal gods DIMMU BORGIR, lets out his unexposed side as the axe-wielding rock`n`roller.

During the summer of ’04, he summoned his longtime friends Lex Icon (THE KOVENANT, ex- DIMMU BORGIR) and Luna of ASHES TO ASHES respectively on drums and bass guitar. After months of beer drinking and rehearsing, the band took shape and CHROME DIVISION was formed.

When the task of finding the right vocalist came along, Eddie Guz, frontman of the Norwegian R`n`R sensation THE CARBURETORS, proved to be the only one who could meet the demands from the guys – and the only one who had the right in-your-face attitude!!! Guitarist Ricky Black and his fierce guitar solos were the last missing ingredient to complete this hellish cocktail.

In the summer of 2005, drummer Lex Icon had to leave the band and was replaced by Tony White of MINAS TIRITH fame. CHROME DIVISION finally entered the Panzer studios in Oslo in December 2005 to create a true monster of an album. Produced by Björn Bergersen, the guys deliver 12 songs in unique Doomsday Rock’n Roll-style that are the musical equivalent to the smell of hot leather and burning rubber!!!!

Just listen to ass-kicking grenades like „Hate“ – it will make you wanna climb in your hot rod and put the pedal to the metal!!! Even though DIMMU BORGIR had a tight schedule in 2007 and the first half of 2008, Shagrath and CHROME DIVISION managed to write and record a new album! "Booze, Broads And Beelzebub" – this is the shiit.

The style is still the same, but the songs and the production improved very much. This album will be in Top Ten list of every fan of BLACK LABEL SOCIETY, MOTÖRHEAD and MÖTLEY CRÜE.
