Job For a Cowboy backed
up their hugely successful debut "Genesis" with a series of
jaw dropping live shows in Australia in 2007. Their latest album "Ruination"
represents a welcome throwback to a day of great, straight forward death
metal albums… good old fashioned brutal American death metal. Job
for A Cowboy blend stunning musicianship and cutting edge song craft to
create the absolute embodiment of modern day extreme music. Since their last visit
to our shores, Behemoth have released their hell breaking opus "Evangelion"
- a philosophical upheaval set to the tune of merciless, face-ripping,
death metal - nine relentlessly blackened tracks of anti-liturgical fury
and towering technical precision. Nine albums, six EPs and numerous world
tours into an 18-year career, they’ve long since transcended their
geographical roots and are operating prolifically on the global stage. Goatwhore, influenced
by the raw savagery of bands like Venom and Celtic Frost, bring an unrefined,
fuck-all approach to black metal, and a career defining album in "Carving
Out the Eyes of God". In an oversaturated metal landscape where sub-genres
spawn sub-sub-genres and the very definition of “metal” seems
blurred by cross-pollinating madness, sacred are the bands who stay true
to their roots! TOUR DATES: TOUR DATES Comments guitarist
J-f Dagenais: So I`m not worried
on what he will bring to this record, so expect a very real, aggressive
and determined KATAKLYSM album! We know we have set the bar high for ourselves,
but we are confident to deliver the goods once again. On the production
end I will handle the recording as usual, but for the mix we have decided
to enlist Tue Madsen from Denmark. We feel he captured best the band`s
sound on "In the arms of devastation". We feel it`s a winning
team and we`re gonna make sure you have the best sounding record to date."
On X-mas day on the
band`s Facebook, Twitter and Myspace pages, KATAKLYSM vocalist Maurizio
Iacono will reveal the band`s new album title. The album is scheduled
for release in mid 2010. “After 6 weeks,
the new Armored Saint record is done. Well, not entirely…we still
have to have it mastered which should be done in the next 2 weeks. So
technically, there's plenty of time for more arbitrary bouts of stress.
But all of the tunes have been recorded and mixed. And I have the dark
circles under my eyes to prove it! As the producer of
the record, I did in fact work very long and hard on this. But I didn't
work alone. Everyone involved worked their asses off. Gonzo, John, Phil
and Jeff all came in and gave it everything. Engineer Bryan Carlstrom
and his assistant John Nuss were the work horses who kept up the pace
in this session which for the most part meant putting in 12 – 14
hour days. I can't say enough about Bryan, Nuss and Annette Cisneros from
Tranzformer Studios in Burbank. This is a first class operation and to
boot, they all gave heart and soul into the project which these days you
just cannot even pay for. We are in much debt with them. Truly wonderful
people. The result is just
amazing, and I may be hasty when I say that this may be our best record
ever. But all dopes in bands say that right? Well this time I think it's
true and although my reasons may be purely personal, I still deem it truth.
The songs are great and it sounds great. The title of our new record is
“La Raza” which means, “The Race”. For all of you tech
nerds out there, a few quick bits on how we made this one: We used nothing
but analog gear, most of which was custom built by Rupert Neve for Bryan
Carlstrom. We hit every signal (drum mics, guitars, vocals) with custom
or vintage analog gear before recording into Pro Tools. We even used rare
vintage amps for most of the guitar overdubs. At mix time, we mixed on
an SSL 4000E console and went to a 1 inch tape reel (one of only 2 on
the west coast) for our final masters. Uh… you DO know what tape
is, don't you? What does this all
mean? It means we spit in the ear of the age of the mp3, teenie, tiny
ear bud listening culture that has turned its back on what it means to
experience music. This record is FAT. We mean, obese! Full on cardiovascular
failure stuff! Old School, Baby! We are finishing up
the other crap that goes with making records. Photo shoots, CD artwork
(you DO know what a CD is still, right?), mastering, the running order
of the tunes. After that, we wait until it is released. I'm told it's
coming out in March 2010 on Metal Blade Records. More news coming soon…” La Raza will be available
everywhere early 2010! Through relentless
touring, the band have opened eyes, broken jaws and kicked the door down
into scenes that many figured unreachable. With a solid combination of
modern, sub-woofer smashing extreme music perfection and a classy, hands-on
approach to their fanbase that's second to none, AND HELL FOLLOWED WITH
looks forward to waving the EARACHE flag for some time to come. "It is very rare
to see such enthusiasm that we have already witnessed with all the Nuclear
Blast people about our forthcoming debut album in English. We can´t
wait to start to work with all of you, to get the album out and to start
touring in Europe! With lots of love, INDICA!” The album was produced
by NIGHTWISH mastermind Tuomas Holopainen, who toured Europe with INDICA
twice so far: The new INDICA album
“A way away” is due mid 2010. The band comments:
“We all are super stoked to be a part of this legendary label. Metal
Blade to us is the past, present and future of metal. With new tunes that
will be equally crushing and catchy, we look forward to producing an album
that will most definitely turn heads." With a genre stuffed
to the brim with countless copy cats and pretenders, ALLEGAEON have come
to the table with a dynamic, memorable and focused take on extreme melodic
metal. You'll find just as many slow grooves and hook-laden riffs as you
will blast beats. This is a band that focuses on song writing and less
on making music into an athletic speed competition. Their music is rounded
with an intellectual edge that's forged by the band's collective musical
prowess and polished by Ezra Hayne's thought provoking lyrics. Once again,
Denver's own Dave Otero (Cephalic Carnage, Martriden, Cobalt) will be
at the production helm for their Metal Blade debut, which is slated for
sometime in the second quarter of 2010. L.A. Guns had many
hits in the 90’s with songs like “The Ballad Of Jayne”,
“Never Enough” and “Electric Gypsy” The first release
from the band will be their CD “Shrinking Violet” which came
out in 1999 and is out of print. The CD originally came out on the now
defunct Perris Records and never really got the push it deserved. It also
includes an amazing cover of the Zeppelin classic “How Many More
Times!” Look out for it in
April 2010! „Everything
Remains (As It Never Was)“ is the follow up to the bands latest
highly successful acoustic/folk output „Evocation I: The Arcane
Dominion“ and will feature the band again as the pure metal band
they are! The album is set to
be unleashed on February 19 In collaboration with
uStream.tv and Facebook.com, EXODUS will become the first band on Nuclear
Blast Records to broadcast their time in the studio in real time to fans
across the globe! HOW TO WATCH: WATCH THE
LIVE STREAMS AT THE FACEBOOK & NUCLEAR BLAST LINKS BELOW Anyone who misses
the live stream will be able to watch a re-broadcast of every stream on
the band’s uStream.tv channel and on the band’s YouTube channel. FAN Q &
A: Fans can also ask
questions in real time via the social stream on the LIVE tab on the bands
Facebook page or at the microsite on the Nuclear Blast USA website www.nuclearblastusa.com/exodus At the end of each

to answer as many questions as possible.

KATAKLYSM: ALBUM
NEWS
KATAKLYSM is in full writting mode at the moment for the follow up to
the "Prevail" album. The band has also confirmed the mixing
duties for the next offering.
"I' m really excited to be deep into the writting process for the
new KATAKLYSM album, the band is more focused then ever: This album will
be different then "Prevail", but will still have the classic
KATAKLYSM trademarks and hooks. You will see a much more intricate record
then we`ve done in the past. It will contian some really fast and dynamic
parts, but we will also aim on a very melodic driven record and it will
contain lots of technical parts as well that we haven`t explored much
lately. And no worries, the bone crushing grooves are always a must with
KATAKLYSM and will be present. I`ve also seen Maurizio's lyrics for this
album so far and let me tell you that they hit really hard. I know it`s
a very personal album to him as he is going through some tough times in
his personal life.
