| JUBILEUM VOLUME II Celebrating 10 years, BATHORY decided to put out a release containing their most loved material. And what better way to get the ideal tracking list together than to ask the fans themselves. Word got around and in due time a list of the tracks the fans felt should represent the first 10 years of the bands could be compiled. The problem was the mixture of styles, how to best nail the running order, and what about the length of some of the tracks chosen. In order to keep within the brim of a CD length vise, several tracks - it seemed - would have to be left out due to the fact that many songs most wanted by the fans were close to ten minutes long. The solution was either a double CD or a Volume I and Volume II twin-release. The latter choice was deemed best, dubbed JUBILEUM VOLUME I and JUBILEUM VOLUME II. For the fans delight, previously unreleased material such as ”Rider at the Gate of Dawn”, ”Burnin’ Leather” and ”Crawl to Your Cross”, material from BATHORY’s pre-album days such as ”You don’t move me” and ”Die in Fire”, as well as hard-to-get-by stuff like the original versions of ”The Return of The Darkness and Evil” and ”Sacrifice”, would grace the tracking list of both CD’s. A true testament ! |
