DORO first drew attention to herself in 1982 with her band Warlock, starting out with ‘Burning the Witches,’ which was followed by the successful ‘Spellbound’ and ‘True As Steel.’ The 1987 Warlock release ‘Triumph and Agony’ is considered a milestone in rock history with over 500,000 units sold to date. After a strong and successful career with Warlock, DORO went solo.

A few months ago she was voted best international female Rock vocalist by a Spanish Rock magazine for the 12th (!) time in succession. DORO’s motto is as straightforward as can be: “I always give 120%,” she declares, “and I love my fans. Legendary metallers ARMORED SAINT entered Tranzformer Studios in Burbank, CA to record first studio album since 2000’s ‘Revelation’. Tranzformer Studios is owned by Dave Jerdan (Alice in Chains, Jane’s Addiction) who produced ARMORED SAINT’s 1991 classic ‘Symbol of Salvation’. The bands very own Joey Vera producing and mixing the record.

Here’s what ARMORED SAINT vocalist John Bush (also of Anthrax) had to say about how the new album came together: “About a year and a half or so ago Joey Vera (Bassist) asked me if I'd be interested in writing some songs. I was in the right mind finally, so I said send me something. To be quite honest, I wasn't thinking in terms of ARMORED SAINT but more like just writing rock music. I felt pretty free with that mentality and the ideas felt very organic. With every passing song things improved and next thing we knew we had about eight songs demoed. Although the idea of sparking something completely new was appealing it became clear that if it was Joey and I the reality was, let's not kid ourselves; this is ARMORED SAINT.

Germany's ANIMA began taking shape in 2005, when guitarist André Steinmann and drummer Benjamin Kühnemund started a group named Metmachines, acquiring second guitarist Steven Holl and bassist Justin Schüler a short time later. Even before the year was out, they had renamed themselves Today Heaven's Dying, and then assumed their present, one-word moniker by 2006, at which time their original vocalist had departed to make way for new frontman Robert Horn.

After posting five songs on their MySpace page, they attracted the attention of Metal Blade Records, which offered them a new contract and released the group's sophomore album, ‘The Daily Grind,’ in 2008.
